Hosting:

There are a number of different Hosting companies that offer various solutions and products. I decided to join SiteGround. I feel for new websites and bloggers, they offer a very cheap rate and WordPress installation through their platform is very straightforward. Therefore, I would recommend their basic plan for anyone starting out for the first time. They also throw in free domain registration along with their hosting!

Themes:

Theme Forest (Envato Market)

Finding good themes, fonts, images and other design tools can be a challenge. Theme Forest at Envato Market conveniently puts everything in one place. There are thousands of free and paid options in various categories such as WordPress Themes, HTML Themes, CMS platform designs, Email Templates and more. I highly recommend ThemeForest!

You can purchase or browse Theme Forest Here.

Mythemeshop is another marketplace where you can find some awesome looking themes. Although a lot smaller than ThemeForest, the themes on Mythemeshop are usually a bit cheaper than the ones found on Theme Forest. Which is why I would highly recommend them to anyone who is just starting out and does not have a lot of cash.

Once you sign up, you also get a lot of freebies! Mythemeshop offers around 13 free themes as well as a number of free plugins! You also get 5 store credits, which essentially give you a substantial discount on any premium item you purchase.

There are a number of different email marketing platforms available on the market. Each has their own pros and cons. For someone who is just starting out, I would recommend MailChimp. Unless you have a well-built audience/following from other platforms such as Facebook or Youtube, new website owners are unlikely to have any followers. MailChimp, therefore, offers a New Business Plan which is absolutely free! You pay nothing for up to 2000 subscribers and have the option to send out 12,000 emails per month. Once you grow you can switch to their paid plans or jump to another email marketing platform.

You can signup to MailChimp Here.
